Approaching the Unethical Behaviour:
Had I worked in Nexxobyte when one of the managers was systematically paying high-value training prospects to just a few members of the staff, at the detriment of the rest, I would have considered this a serious matter. Such behaviour is a contradiction to the CIPD core value of Valuing People and the aspect of fairness and equality (CIPD, 2023b). Not only does it affect employee morale and trust, but it also creates an unpleasant, divisive, and non-inclusive culture in the workplace.

The first action that I would take is to collect objective data on the behaviour of the behaviour-training requests, team input, or HR reports. I could then organize a two-party business-like discussion with the manager so that I could voice my concerns and allow them to justify their actions. In case their answer affirmed biased or unfair practice, I would report the matter to Aisha and Kit. I would also suggest finding and deploying a progressive, clear Learning and Developmcccccent policy that will provide equality to all employees, and the criteria will be based on the relevance of the role and the performance requirement, and not based on preference (Anon., 2025c).
Raising the Illegal Activity:
The case when one of the former employees used the corporate time and equipment to operate a separate business is a situation of grave abuse and a possible infringement. As I would have known about the situation and been in my position at that moment, I would have responded rather rapidly but discreetly.
