De Bono’s Six Thinking Hats:

The Six Thinking Hats is the decision-making process that is proposed by De Bono and promotes teams to examine an issue through six different perspectives: facts (white), emotions (red), optimism (yellow), caution (black), creativity (green), and process (blue) (The De Bono Group, 2019). Actually, by making it a habit to play these roles, discussions will be well organised, even-handed and open to different perspectives.

This strategy is applicable to Technivara in the case of deciding on whether to adopt a digital system in place of the paper-based HR practises in place. The white hat would emphasise on the factual information like costs and efficiency improvements, whereas the black hat would spot the risks like difficulties in the implementation. The green hat would then seek innovative alternatives such as gradual implementations, and the yellow hat would highlight the advantages such as better data quality to support workforce planning.

The Six Thinking Hats makes sure that the decisions are made in a holistic manner, which does not mean that they will overlook risks or opportunities (Edraw Mind, 2025). It establishes a common framework of discussion, which is useful in overcoming the opposition of leaders such as Bill by enabling them to vent their grievances together with the positive aspects. However, it can be time-consuming particularly when decisions are to be made immediately and can be unnatural when participants fail to incorporate the unfamiliar thinking roles.

Force Field Analysis:

A decision-making approach created by Kurt Lewin, Force Field Analysis analyses the forces that promote the change and the ones that restrain it (Keenan, 2024). What comes out as a result is a visual representation of these forces which helps leaders to strengthen drivers and minimise resistors.

Force Field Analysis

In the case of Technivara, this tool may be applied in the case of expansion strategies.
