Organisation Conflicts
Adopting the definition in ACAS (2025), the organisation conflict entails “prevalence of disputes/disagreement pitting employees, various teams and management in organisation setting”. The source of this includes a sense of conflict on their interests, ineffective communication, change in organisation and views of being unfairly treated.
For the new merger, conflicts would be evident owing to the changes in the stipulations of their job functions. This is in an event a part of the teams gains a feeling of overlooking their interests favouring some of the organisations teams in merger. In the merging organisation, these could be manifested by practicing striking, banning overtime-based working and protesting and lack of willingness to take part in the change.
In the merger of the public sector organisation, emergence of conflicts is intense in terms of their wellbeing and lead to stress issues, being frustrated and demotivated. In line with ACAS (2025a), lacking resolutions of the conflicts impact performance directly, cohesive teams and damaged image.
Organisation Misbehaviours
This is defined in CIPD (2019) as “activities pursued by staff breaking organisation legislations or what they expect in an intentional manner, often silently resisting or protesting in their individual capacities”……
