In the analysis of my performance against the six standards of the Associate level of the CIPD Profession Map on Working Inclusively, I sent myself to the reflection table and gathered responses with a person, Sarah, with whom I work most closely on HR projects. The results of her observations, together with my personal evaluation, allowed me to determine my strengths and weaknesses. I came to the conclusion that I exhibit high levels of inclusivity when acting in cross-departmental teams because I will actively seek the input of fellow employees and willingly engage those who are more reserved in conversations. Sarah mentioned that I am friendly and contribute to establishing psychological safety in which people find it easy to give out ideas or raise issues. This is in line with the CIPD expectation to create trust and appreciate different points of view.

Nonetheless, I was also aware of areas that can be improved. Sarah mentioned that informally, I use a variety of views, but I occasionally use colleagues that I know well, and I might use more voices in a more organized way. I will also be required to institutionalise inclusive measures, including organised feedback or a system of anonymous feedback, to provide uniform fairness and representation. In general, this review helped to understand that I have the strength of inclusion, yet I need to be more intentional and strategic when incorporating inclusivity into every sphere of my practice.
